Lisa Bray

 Mrs. Bray is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Applied Learning and Development and a specialization in Math.    She student taught First grade, and followed that with three years of teaching preschool. 


“I have been a stay-at-home mom with my children for eight years and have learned more about teaching through parenting than anything else.   I love to watch children learn and interact, especially with each other and with the Word of God.  I am excited and blessed to be in a Christian classroom setting,” said Mrs. Bray.

She has been married to her husband Mark for 17 years, and they have three beautiful daughters.  Mrs. Bray believes that every moment is a teachable moment.

 

Leigh Ann Schwope

Mrs. Schwope is a graduate of Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas where she obtained a BS in education with a specialization in Reading and a Master's degree in English. She has taught multiple grade levels in public and private schools for 10 years before and after staying home with her three children for 7 years.


Mrs. Schwope says, "I am very excited to become a part of the family at First Baptist Christian School! I can't wait to meet and get to know all of the first graders. What a thrilling time it will be for learning academics using a wonderful Christian curriculum."



Michelle Jett

Mrs. Jett graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a major in Speech Communications and a minor in Theatre Arts with teacher certification in both; later adding all level elementary teaching certification.  During her 19 years of teaching experience, she has taught in public, private and home schools in all subject areas with students of all ages.  Mrs. Jett is a regular guest director at the Hill Country Community Theatre where she recently directed Brigadoon.  She has always loved music and drama and is excited to teach the children at FBCS to use their talents for the Lord.

 

Mrs. Jett says, "I  enjoy teaching at a Christian school because God is evident in all things and should be included in everything, especially the classroom."  She goes on to say, "I try to make learning fun and memorable.  I love to re-learn right along with the kids and it is very rewarding to see their eyes light up when learning something new."  

 

Mrs. Jett and her husband, Chris, are the proud parents of two boys, Marshall and Garrett.

 

 

Cassi Sultemeier

 Mrs. Sultemeier is a graduate of Howard Payne University where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Art Communications and Biblical Studies.  She also attended Angelo State University where she completed her Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She is a Texas certified elementary teacher, and has had experience teaching pre-school through sixth grade students in both public and Christian schools. Mrs. Sultemeier enjoys integrating her Biblical knowledge into the curriculum as she teachers. Her background and research in emergent literacy greatly benefit her as a reading teacher. Her master's thesis research project was related to computer technology.

 

Mrs. Sultemeier and her husband, Jonathan, have been married for 6 years. They both enjoy the Arts and creative expression. Mrs. Sultemeier has a passion for "creating environments that empower students and facilitate learning by fostering creativity." She also believes that "Students create because they are created beings." She is excited to guide students know their Creator in this amazing Christian environment.

 

 

 

Tammy Berkman

Mrs. Berkman is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin.    She has experience teaching Pre-K, kindergarten, first, second, third, fourth, ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth graders in both private and public schools.

 

Mrs. Berkman says, “I like teaching all the subjects, but my favorite is Bible.  I love to see the light come on when a child comprehends God’s love and grace.  It is a blessing to teach at a Christian school where the Bible is esteemed and honored.”

 

 

 

 

Susan Evermon

Mrs. Evermon graduated from Hardin-Simmons University with a B.S. in Elementary Education.  After 22 years in public education, she became a teacher at FBCS in 2009.  

 

She says, “I want to provide a positive environment which enhances students’ learning so they will be able to reach their potential.  My purpose is to help students become Christ-centered, Kingdom-focused citizens.”


 

 

 

Autumn Clakley

Mrs. Clakley has been with the First Baptist Christian School for over seven years. She teaches Art and P.E. to Kindergarten through 5th grade students.  She has also been active with the Summer Camp Program for several years.  Mrs. Clakley attended Central Texas College in Killeen, Texas.  She has lived in the Marble Falls area for over fifteen years and is a member of the First United Methodist Church.

 

"Seeing art through the children’s eyes is such a wonderful experience. Talking to them about God, praying and sharing Christian values are just an added bonus," says Mrs. Clakley.

 

Mrs. Clakley and her husband, Billy, are the proud parents of three young sons.
