News from the Headmaster | Dr. Sandra Phelps | Headmaster We are off to a busy Spring Semester at First Baptist Christian School, and we would like to welcome several new students and families to our school! In January, the elementary students took home report cards for the second reporting period of the Fall semester. We are so pleased with the effort our students demonstrate and the high marks that reflect their hard work! Great job, students! The Wild West has come alive at the Child Development Center this month as Western Week was celebrated on Jan. 24-27! Fun and adorable pictures will be shared soon! The month of February will also be packed with student events and open house plans to showcase our school to the community and prospective parents and students. The PTF will host the 4th Annual Mother/Son & Father Daughter Valentine's Outing for Pre-K through 5th grade students, and all classrooms will celebrate the season of love with their class parties. We are also excited about FBCS Open House to be held on Monday, February 20th. Please encourage your friends and family to visit our school and learn more about the premier education and care our school provides for our families and community. On February 24th, we will have the opportunity to showcase our school during Church Friends' Day as well. Then, finally in February, our CDC will participate in the much anticipated Dr. Seuss Week! This is one of my favorites as well! Our primary focus in March will be to host a wonderfully success Spring fundraiser on Friday the 30th at the beautiful Horseshoe Bay Resort. Grandparent's Day will be held at FBCS that morning and we are inviting grandparents to join us for the Benefit that evening. We would appreciate your support in sponsorship, silent auction donations and purchasing tickes to the event. For more information, please contact Jen Charlton at jennifer_charlton@yahoo.com. And, finally, if you have not signed up to be part of the FBCS Prayer Team and would like to do so, please email Barbara Couture at barbara.couture711@gmail.com. It is such a blessing to pray for our school and our students. God's blessings, Dr. Sandra Phelps FBCS Headmaster |
